There's just something about upgrading your rims. Some wheels have even inspired an entire generation of car enthusiasts. When done right, they improve performance and aesthetics at a the same time. They also truly make your car personal and stand out from the rest. 

Unfortunately, most aftermarket wheels leave a lot to be desired. They are heavier and lower quality cast aluminium wheels with poor workmanship. They are more prone to bending and cracking. This is not what you want your wheels to be at risk of, especially as they are the 4 items connecting you and your car to the road. 

Forged aluminium wheels are a step above the rest when it comes to wheel performance, quality and safety. They are much stronger, lighter and they resist damage. However, the aftermarket is now flooded with a range of forged wheels and the issue is that not all of them are created equal. Many are low quality forged wheels which aren't any better, or may actually be worse, than a well made set of cast wheels.  These might also be three times the price of a cast set!

 

So, how do we address this problem? How can we get quality forged  without having to pay exorbitant amounts of money for the major forged wheel brands?
